“What is needed today is a church which knows how to respond to the expectations of young people. Jesus wants to enter into dialogue with them and, through his body, which is the church, to propose the possibility of a choice, which will require a commitment of their lives. As Jesus with the disciples of Emmaus, so the church must become the traveling companion of young people...” (Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day 1995, Philippines)
The youth group at Our Lady of Grace Parish will be working very closely with the Office of Catholic Youth to organize a variety of both spiritual and social events in order to build up our faith community. Our mission is to identify, form, link and integrate youth as disciples of Jesus. We want young people to be involved in the life of our parish community, especially in the Sunday Eucharist.
Have you ever felt out of place and needed somewhere to go? We invite all youth from grades 8 and up to join us for one of our meetings. We will be meeting twice a month after the Sunday 12:00pm Mass.
For more information please contact Fr. Joseph Gorman at jgorman@ourladyofgrace.com or the Parish Office at 905-727-4594.
Because we will be having the Toiletries Drive on the weekend of February 25/26th, the Youth Ministry meeting has been cancelled. Please keep your eyes on the bulletin and Twitter feed for updates!
